Mission: Mini Mission-Dark Lilies
Location: TBD

The unexpected encounter with her former fiance threw Lily for a loop. She was glad that Tara was there to run interference. She especially loved the stunt that Tara had pulled on Erik.

She wasn't certain if Tara had even spoken to Hadir about that encounter and Lily hadn't thought to check on that either. As she was getting herself settled in on the Orcrist.

Just as she thought of those two, Lily wondered if her thoughts had summoned them.

To her amazement there they were walking down the corridor in front of her it looked like they were heading somewhere. Perhaps to the messhall.

Lily quickend her steps to catch up with them from behind. "Commander Prenar, Lieutenant Marsh. I was just thinking of you both. I would like to have a meeting with the both of you, after you get a meal?"

Tara beamed a smile at Lily, "Lieutenant Marsh? Really? When did you get to be so formal?" She shook her head in mock sorrow. "I don't know what Lieutenant Marsh would say, but I'm pretty sure that I, Tara, would be happy to meet with you whenever you want."

Hadir stopped and turned to Lily with a smile. "Lieutenant Marlow we can have a chat now if you wish. I am not hungry at the moment. But, if this is of a Security or Intelligence matter we can adjourn to place more private."

Looking at Tara, then back to Hadir. "Actually it is referring to a subject you've been helping me investigate. I would think that going someplace more private would be best. Especially since I've, well that we...." She gave a nod towards Tara. "....have come across an unexpeted turn of events."

Tara looked over at Hadir and said, "If that is what she wishes to discuss, I believe that she is correct."

A slight smile towards Tara, then Lily looked back at Hadir. "Shall we?"

"Right then. Off to my office it is." Hadir said as he led the way to his office a few decks away. When they arrived he keyed in his access code. "Computer restore normal environment." The temperature in the office was a tad hot, it was at a level that was comfortable for the Cardassian. Hadir just restored it so Lily and Tara would be comfortable. "Please have a seat." He motioned to the chairs before his desk and sat down behind the desk.

Tara had little issue with Hadir's normal temperature. He had asked her about it on their initial meeting and she had no issue then, either. If it caused her to sweat, she would not be upset, as it would just add to her healthy lifestyle. She suspected that Lily might be another story. Without a word, Tara sat down. This was Lily's story, so she was ready to allow her to tell it. When input from Tara was required, Tara was prepared to provide it.

"Well on shoreleave, I went to go visit my family and invited Tara to come along. I just wanted her to see what my family was like and to go surfing," Lily began. "We met at the beach and to my dismay, my brothers had invited none other than my former boyfriend. Eric Lereaux aka Thorton Stiles."

Lily let that little nugget drop for a moment before she continued. "He was trying to rekindle our relationship." A grimace appeared on Lily's face.

Tara encouraged Lily, "Go on. Get to the heart of it. You can include all the parts where I wanted to kick his butt from here to the edge of the universe and then actually knocked him out on the waves." She grinned proudly at her Chief.

Hadir was an information machine, he lived, breathed, and would die on information. However, at the moment he simply wished that Lily would get to the point. The information shared at the moment was far from critical. He covered his displeasure well with a smile. "Do, go on. Please."

"Okay, pure plain and simple, with the arrival of Thorton Stiles infiltrating into my family. Would this mean the plan to entrap him, and bring him in for questioning commences a lot quicker? I for one would like to find out why my brain had been messed with, and who he is working for. Though from my memories, he had connections with a Romulan or Romulans." Lily being plain spoken about this.

Hadir leaned back in his chair. "Well that depends upon you to be honest. It depends on how much information you truly want." He paused and leaned forward almost conspiratorially. "Listen, I will tell you a little secret. No information is ever garnered from an interrogation. All the information is gained in the field through covert means. It is why SFI exists. So, if you want to learn all you can than we are going to have to plan an undercover operation, learn what we can, then bring him in and toss him in a brig."

Tara grinned. "Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun. I would definitely enjoy bringing him in. I wanted to trounce him upon first meeting. I have a sense for these sorts of things."

"I want to know why my friend's cabin was blown up, i want to know about the Romulans it seemed that Stiles is working for. And is he still connected with them. It is just a horrid sensation to wake up seeing a Romulan who clearly was in charge then going back unconscious."

She took a breath, allowing her slew of questions fade away in the air. "I don't know much about intelligence. I'm a doctor after all. I do though, want to hear of your plan, your ideas as to what can be done. And on top of that. How much of a web are we encountering? This is your expertise, and I did state I am willing to be the bait. He obviously still has desire for me. Unless this is also a bit of subterfuge to find out more about where my not dead best friend is."

"You are going to bring him out of hiding. It seems that you still have a fire that burns for him as well. Arrange a meeting. Tara and I will accompany you. After all far be it from you to go on a date without your good friend Tara and her boyfriend. Once there we will learn all we can. Ultimately and only if needed we can bring him back here for a formal questioning." Hadir rattled off the basics of a plan without thinking. This was simply how his brain worked.

"Boyfriend?" Tara asked. "I don't have a boyfriend," she stated firmly. "Not that I would not mind one.... Guys don't seem to want me, as far as I can tell." She then looked at Hadir and the light went on. "OH! You mean that you will be posing as my boyfriend! Silly me! Sorry boss! I seem to be a bit slow on the draw today."

There was a glance from Lily towards Tara, she recalled that one of her own brothers had shown interest in Tara and it seemed that she blew him off, or was just clueless. This though, wasn't the time and place for her to mention something like that.

"Okay, I will do such, looks ike I am going to have to blow the dust off my acting skills." Lily wanted to say, "I'm a doctor not an actor," but refrained from doing so, keeping her thoughts to herself. This was serious business.

Tara gave a sidelong glance at Lily. She was many things but a good actor was not one of them. She hoped that Hadir had a backup plan, but they would have to discuss that once Lily was gone.

"Very well. Do tell us when the plans are set." Hadir said with a smile. His next step would be to devise a fall back plan should everything fall apart. There was never one plan.

Tara encouraged Lily to leave. "Go on, Lily. Get on with it. I have to meet with the Chief for a bit longer, so you can report back when you have set everything in motion."

Lily looked at both Hadir as well as Tara, she was definitely being dismissed especially by Tara. A hint applied with a sledgehammer. She kept her mirth hidden and made her way out of Hadir's office. Once she was away from the office she just grinned.

It faded away though, as Lily now needed to convince herself she was still in love with her former boyfriend. Though there would be a way she could pretend that she was, it was called a transference strategy that is used in theater. Such as thinking about something sad to cause tears to flow. Or get through a romantic scene with someone you don't really like... on that note. Lily went on her way,.
