Mission: A Day In The Life
Location: Various

[PREVIOUSLY]

"I don't know who did this," Lily began. "But a crew member from the USS Majestic, she was taking off with the sarcophagus. It was an artifact that was found on Adna Station, containing T'Seng one of our diplomatic officers. Anyway, I was just heading to Medical when I saw it being taken out of there. I felt sudden sharp pain and then blacked out!"

[CONTINUED]

Shailyn handed Lily a bottle of water of which the thirsty ACMO eagerly drank.

Two medical officers came, "Sir" one of them addressed Raf "We'll take Lieutenant Marlow to sickbay."

Raf had been scanning Lilly as she spoke with Tara. Looking to the med response team. "Good. She took a blow to the head, no concussion but still enough to knock her out. Do a full work up anyway and see if you can determine what was used as well as any DNA evidence from the attacker."

Helping Lily to her feet, "Yes sir."

Tara looked at the medical officers with a withering glare for ignoring her. "Thank you, Lily. I'll see that whoever did this is brought to justice." With that, Tara left and headed to the brig as instructed.

If Ryn was with, or even in, the sarcophagus they would need someone that knew at least a little bit about it. Breaking into a trot Raf hurried after Tara.

===Brig===

The large brig cells had just enough room for the sarcophagus and the two who stole it. Their expression of triumph, thinking that they had succeeded, didn't last long.

"Lieutenant?" Giselle's assistant, Sam, exclaimed.

Giselle, her blonde hair looking a bit awry, frowned, realizing where she was at.

Hadir stepped out of the shadows as it seemed Cardassians had a knack for doing. He smiled as the day was his, he did so love it when a plan came together. "Lieutenant Giselle Prentiss. There is a court martial with your name on it. As for the assistant here, probably life in a Federation Prison Colony. Care to tell me what the hell you were thinking?"

"I was assigned to retrieve the artifact under the direct orders of Admiral Isaacs. It was official business and we were prevented from doing our job. Lieutenant Marlow got in the way, and she was restrained. Until such time as we contacted Security. We do not need to be charged with dereliction of our duties and therefore you are keeping us unlawfully incarcerated." Her chin lifted as she had the backing of an admiral.

Sam looked rather shocked as to what Hadir had said. "What do you mean?"

Tara arrived at the brig and saw someone in it, "Well, that was quick, Commander Prenar.... Maybe you still left some fun for me?" she hoped. "Wait! She just admitted to hurting Lily?! With a confession, I have nothing left to do," Tara pouted.

Tara then considered the Lieutenant's words more. "Did you say, Admiral Isaacs?" She laughed lightly. "I guess you did not realize that he was taken into custody already.... I would say that you are in a heap of trouble, Lieutenant Prentiss."

"I did not hurt Lieutenant Marlow, it was him" Giselle remarked pointedly looking at Sam. "It was all him. "

For the moment it hadn't registered to Giselle what Tara had said about Admiral Isaacs.

Sam stared at Tara, he heard it, as well as what Hadir had said. He sent a hatred filled glare towards Giselle, moving as far as he could from her, which there wasn't much to be able to do so.

"You are not going to pin everything on me, Prentiss" his tone filled with ice. "You engineered this, you and the admiral And he's not going to be any help for you or me. Didn't you hear what that woman said? Isaacs, has been arrested!"

Sam said the last part rather loudly.

"You-Are -Lying!" she looked accusingly at Sam then out towards where Tara, Hadir and Raf were standing.

"Dig the crud out of your ears and pay attention, you got us, you got me in trouble!" Sam shouted. The ramifications of consequences settling in rather hard.

Prentiss moved to go after him, Sam moved to keep the sarcophagus between them.

Tara put a hand on her hip and told Giselle, "I do not lie."

"Lieutenant Giselle Prentiss as the Chief of Security of this ship I am relieving you of all duties, temporarily stripping you of your rank and privileges and placing you under arrest. You are charged as follows, sneaking aboard a Starship, attempting to steal Starfleet property, assault on two Starfleet Officers, unlawful imprisonment of a Starfleet officer, and attempted kidnapping. I suggest you remain silent as is your right to do so." Hadir turned to a security officer. "Remove the sarcophagus and return it to..." His voice trailed off as something occurred to him that changed his thought process. "You mentioned Lieutenant Marlow, but not Lieutenant Csira. Where is Lieutenant Csira?"

Raf was moving towards the sealed sarcophagus, stopping them from moving it. "While in the lab the sarcophagus was open. The ship's sensors can't find Ryn...Lt. Csira. She maybe inside it."

Looking to the officer now in custody. "Well?"

[Inside the Sarcophagus]

Rynna must have dozed off because she woke in a clump of fern. Her head and body ached, but not because of the fall. The fern was think and deep enough to protect her. She knew this because she'd jumped into a fern bed from an oak before, just to find out how it felt. But this...was something else.

She rolled onto her back and looked up at the tree, trying to remember how she got here in the first place. Not Robin Hood. No. Before that. She was going to see...Rafael. She smiled softly as she remembered wanting to get ready for their dinner together, then passing the lab.

She sat up. Someone had been in the lab. she heard a noise, then a phaser... And everything came back to her. "Raf...find me," she whispered. Because she had no idea how to get out of this particular predicament herself.

Galloping through the green wood Robin, looking exactly like Raf, came upon the cluster of pressed ferns, in the mist of it all, Marian. Looking back quickly, he reached out. "Quickly! The Sheriff's men are also searching for you after you disappeared from the castle. However, did you escape?"

She looked at him for a moment and blinked. Robin? Why had she been thinking of someone who looked like him? "I...don't remember." She stood, took a moment to balance, then took his hand so he could pull her up onto the horse. "How far back are they?"

Outside of the sarcophagus.

Giselle just looked at Hadir and also Raf. "Well, what?" Looking rather defiant. She was going to die on this hill.

"I have no idea of where she is." Giselle boldly lying.

A huff from Sam, "Sir she is in there but I do not know how to open the device, do you? And she" gesturing towards Giselle, "Doesn't know how to open it either."

Giselle growled at Sam. "You, you traitor!"

"You do not deserve any loyalty, you are a--" he stopped there and looked at Raf then towards Tara, then back to Raf. "You will need to open it, I believe you know how to do so, doctor."

Hadir smiled broadly in that way that Cardassians did. He looked at Sam. "Your cooperation will not go unrewarded. You can count on that." He tapped his comm badge. "Doctor, if I am not mistaken you know how to open this do you not?"

Raf was looking over the sarcophagus. He tried to peer through the top but closed the sarcophagus changed from crystalline to dark. Looking back to Hadir and Tara, "It was open when I was working with it earlier but I can definitely figure it out while you two deal with Miss Hateful here."

"I didn't sneak onboard the ship, Captain Rutherford approved my transfer to this ship!" Giselle spat out. "I was cleared by security." she huffed, the turned a baleful eye towards Raf, Hadir and Tara.

Sam couldn't control himself any further. She was stripped from her rank so, he decided he was already in deep trouble, with Giselle being distracted, anything else wasn't going to matter. Sam did an uppercut to Giselle's jaw causing her to stagger back.

"Can you put me in a separate cell from her please." Sam requested.

Without missing a beat Hadir nodded to a guard who drew a phaser and dropped the field so Sam could step out. Just as quickly the field was reestablished and Sam was in a different cell. Hadir then turned to address Giselle. "If I were you I would not say another word. You have just admitted in front of all present to your guilt of at least treason. So quit while you are ahead." Hadir stepped toward Giselle's cell threateningly. His voice deepened and became sharp, biting.

Giselle was filled with such hatred for Sam and even more so towards Hadir.

"You slime-skinned eyeball licker, reptile" she spat out towards Hadir. "You won't be able to keep me incarcerated for long. I can't see how the Federation could have brought you into being amongst us. What with your, conniving manipulative race. How could anyone trust you. You will be the ruin of Starfleet!"

"Such prejudice," Tara replied shaking her head side to side. "So unbecoming." She then hooked her arm inside Hadir's and said, "Such things to say to my boyfriend...."

Hadir turned to the Doctor and one of the guards. "Doctor would you take this sarcophagus back to Sick Bay and do what you can. Please keep me informed." The guard stepped forward and assisted the Doctor with the sarcophagus.

Things seemed to be going in Hadir's favor just the way he liked them. He looked at Sam. "You seem to be in a mood to assist in any way you can." A few deft button presses and the forcefield around Sam's cell dropped. "I will take you to quarters on deck three. There you will be confined until the Captain can make a decision. Tara you are with me."

Tara fell in line beside Hadir and gave Giselle a small smile and wink before heading off with Hadir.

Sam stood near the door of the Brig and waited for Hadir. The Cardassian turned to Giselle who at this point was the only person left in the Brig. "You see Giselle when you cooperate you get upgrades. When you spew vile racial slurs you get to tell me how many lights there are." He paused just long enough to look up as if he spoke to the ceiling. "Computer turn off the lights." The Brig went dark. Hadir, Tara, and Sam left leaving Giselle in the dark to wonder what was next.
